Jubovski - 17th July 2014

 Guests were welcomed to the Byre by accomplished piper Rich Gordon.

Jubovski are (L to R) Peter Cowdrey on piano, Liz Cowdrey on violin and Jub Davis on double bass.

 Guests enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner of chilli, nachos and guacamole, followed by summer berries, under the beautiful Byre roof.

Flint the deerhound makes a visit!

"I just had to write to tell you how much we enjoyed Jubovski and the whole evening at The Byre.  Wow!  Peter, Liz and Jub were outstanding.  For sheer exuberance, vitality and musicality  they were an absolute joy to listen to and what a privilege and surprise to find such a performance on our doorstep in Perthshire!  At the time I wondered whether your introduction might have been slightly overblown but the half was not told us;  thank you both so much for finding and bringing such an amazing performance.  A subsequent look at their websites, including the Goldfinch Foundation made fascinating reading too.  What an impressive trio.

The whole Byre experience was a treat from start to finish with a wonderful atmosphere and I loved your informal and relaxed layout.  Supper was delicious, beautifully presented and was just right. Your staff and helpers were so friendly and smiling too which added greatly to the atmosphere.  All in all, one of the best evening’s entertainment [we] have had in a long time."
