Jeffrey Foucault - 29th January 2015

Celtic Connections came to Inchyra as Jeffrey Foucault played the Arts Club ahead of an appearance at the UK's premier Celtic music festival earlier in the week.

It would appear that in Jeffrey Foucault, the Inchyra Arts Club has found yet another well-kept secret from the world of Americana. The world weary troubadour entertained a large and responsive crowd to a humdinger of a show encompassing Country, Blues, Gospel and Soul, expertly accompanied by the man on the ‘suitcase drum kit’ - Billy Conway. Foucault is an immensely expressive singer with some impressively personal material. The Byre is an intimate space, ideally suited to Jeffry Foucault’s style of storytelling, made even more intimate when he stepped out from behind the microphone to perform entirely unaided.
