One of the most authentic and spirited players of blues and New Orleans piano in Europe today, Dom Pipkin has appeared live all around the world, winning and wowing fans with his electrifying live performances.
His musical life’s journey has culminated in the creation of his solo show “Smokin’ Boogie - Tales of the Big Easy, Bourbon & Bad Boys” - New Orleans piano from its very beginnings in the brothels of the early jazz age through the joyous RnB boom of the 50s, marked by artists such as Fats Domino and Professor Longhair, into the heady drug-fuelled excesses and funk of James Booker and the “Nite Tripper” Dr John.
A mixture of stories, humour, and unfiltered raw blues piano, the show was a massive hit with an enthusiastic Inchyra audience. Pipkin is an engaging performer and held an appreciative crowd spell bound with his obvious love of the genre and his consummate skill on the piano.
