The Spooky Men's Chorale - 25th August 2015

The Spooky Men's Chorale - 25th August 2015

Tuesday 25th August 2015

A rollercoaster tour of massive, hair-raising Georgian harmonies, immaculate ballads and vaudevillian nonsense.

"High camp, epic folly - probably the best programming choice of the entire summer festival circuit" THE IRISH TIMES

The amazing Spooky Men's Chorale, from the Blue Mountains in Australia, employ a devastating combination of immaculate musical sensibilities, cavernous vocal chords and extreme silliness to explore the paradoxes of latter day masculinity.

Formed in 2001, the Spookies visit Inchyra as part of their 6th tour of the UK, which heralds the launch of a brand new album ("an idyll in vast, calm, resonant deepness") and a step-up in their supernova trajectory with some major festival dates.    Their last tour in 2013 saw sell-out concerts and ecstatic festival audience reactions.   The Chorale are doing three performances on this visit to Scotland - one in Glasgow, one at the Fringe - and here at Inchyra.

"Inspired - and a triumph of choreography!  Catch them on the road - a fantastic night out is guaranteed!"  MARK RADCLIFFE, BBC RADIO 2

"Highly theatrical, they veer from weird to touching and back again. Grown up entertainment in the best, most infantile way.  Don't miss an opportunity to see them"  THE DAILY TELEGRAPH
